Kairos
Terms of Use
Kairos is an iPhone app by COMMERCIUM LIMITED (company number 16456125, England and Wales) that draws the sky of a chosen moment and place as an astrology chart. By installing or using it you accept these terms and Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). Where the two differ, these terms add to the EULA and do not limit your rights under it.
1. What Kairos is
- Planet positions, houses and aspects are computed astronomically on your device and checked against the Swiss Ephemeris before each release. They are provided for interest and reflection.
- Astrology is not a science. Nothing in the App is medical, psychological, financial, legal or other professional advice, and nothing in it predicts events. Do not rely on it for important decisions.
2. Kairos Pro
- The chart of the present moment is free. Kairos Pro unlocks other moments from 1800 to 2199, the PDF, the moon-strip jumps, every house system and the Home Screen widget.
- Kairos Pro is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the App before you buy, in your local currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays open until the end of the period you paid for.
- Purchases are sold by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under its rules at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Use “Restore purchases” on the paywall to unlock Pro again on a new device signed in to the same Apple Account.
3. Using the App
- You may use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. Charts you save or share are yours to use as you like.
- Reverse engineering, modifying, reselling or misusing the App is prohibited, except where the law allows it.
- City data comes from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0) and time zones from the IANA database. Time zone and daylight-saving rules before about 1970 can be uncertain for some places.
4. Liability
- The App is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it accurate and working, but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
- Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Kairos Pro in the twelve months before the claim.
5. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the current text is published on this page and linked from the App. Governing law: England and Wales; if you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country.
